Skin Disease

A condition of abnormal functioning of the skin of a dog or cat. Skin diseases are quite common in pets, and there are basically two types: curable and non-curable. Some of the most common curable types of skin diseases that can affect cats and dogs include bacterial dermatitis, Malassezia infections, ringworms, seborrhea and flea allergy dermatitis. The most common non-curable types of skin diseases in pets are icthyosis, dermatomyositis, pemphigus and allergic inhalant dermatitis.
