There are some breeds which are more prone to be aggressive than others. Why is this? Why are some breeds more aggressive than others? Well, if we think about it, have there always been this many breeds of dogs ? Throughout history, each type of dog had a purpose. Some were used for herding, some were used for hunting, others were used for protection. Each dog served his or her own role in society throughout time. Most dogs have outgrown their “purpose” as we now mainly consider them our companions rather than “an employee” so to speak.

Aggressive behavior is the most common behavior which is addressed in the field of pet behavior. Many pet parents often wonder if their dog’s aggression can be treated. Often times, aggressive behavior can be reduced or completely eliminated with the correct treatment techniques.
