Most Popular Hypoallergenic Dogs

Bichon Frise –  These little white dogs have a poodle -like coat and grow to be anywhere from six to eleven pounds full grown. While Bichon Frise  do have an undercoat, it does not hold much dander and is very curly. Since their hair can tangle easily, regular grooming  is necessary to keep them looking good.

They also come in several colors including cream, white, apricot, red and black. Just as with the Bichon Frise, Poodles need to be groomed daily or else their curly coats will become matted.

Chinese Crested – Virtually a hairless dog that only has a bit of hair on its head, feet and the tip of its tail. However, there are powder-puff varieties that are born with a full coat. The hairless versions are great for people with allergies. These small dogs  only grow to about eight pounds and are very affectionate.

Bedlington Terriers – Bedlington Terriers have curly, poodle-like hair and can weigh anywhere between 17 and 23 pounds. These are friendly dogs that come in many colors including white, gray, blue, liver and tan. Originally bred to hunt vermin, Bedlington Terriers  make great family pets today.
