Also referred to as a prott, bullrott and a Rotten pit, the pitweiler is a medium to large hybrid cross between an American pit bull terrier and a Rottweiler. These muscular dogs can weigh anywhere between 45 and 100 pounds. One consistent physical attribute is the smooth coat, which requires minimal grooming. The coat may be black, brown, white, golden, merle, brindle or speckled.
