Also known as the ‘Puggle Hound’ the Bassugg is the hybrid mix of the Pug and Basset Hound breeds. Their appearance is distinguished by a round head, short muzzle, and small, sturdy bodies. Their coats are typically short, silky and tight to the skin with colors ranging from black and brown to cream and white.

Behaviour and Personality

Bassuggs are quite smart and easy to train, ready to please and get along well with other dogs. They like attention and need exercise to stay happy. This breed sheds slightly and should be regularly groomed to keep the coat looking nice. Bassuggs are okay with either big house or apartment dwellings.
