The Basset Retriever is a medium sized dog resulting from the cross breeding of the Basset Hound and Golden Retriever. Generally they have a long body with short legs and long, flappy ears and a shiny soft coat that comes in golden/black/red color mixtures.

They are very playful and energetic, perfect of a romp around the yard.
