Behaviour and Personality

Malti-Pugs are know for being friendly, affectionate, loyal and playful. They are good dogs for families with small children, and they can usually get enough exercise by playing in a backyard or visiting a dog park. They are unlikely to bark at strangers and warm up to people quickly, but they don’t make good watchdogs for these reasons. Malti-Pugs are difficult to train, and may not be a good choice for first-time dog owners or those who lack the patience to train a stubborn and energetic pet. Obedience training is recommended for owners who cannot take the time to train a Malti-Pug.
